its September!, schools coming back in session and basements are filling with sweaty beer thirsty college kids the past few weeks of summer have been great to just relax and finish up the to do list of fun stuff before its too cold. some posable great parties going on within the next week if you wanna be filled in on where and when i always post location the night of on my twitter @theworkforce.

Moderat - Moderat (2009)

I forgot how awesome this album was/is/will be for all you in the dark. The group is comprised of Modeselektor + Apparat, all awesome producer/djs. Anyway this release is a mix of dubstep, electronica. Good for a evening in or a jam to start the night. There’s a collection of droning beats, darkly clever lyrics, and melodies that skim the edge of your brains. I hope you all enjoy, and again if you already have this, just go back and listen you’ll appreciate it.

I think this is going to be a sick season for basement partys and good music. feel free to check out my boy alans site drivingwithtrucks.com. its a real witty spin on life from a down to earth perspective without having to scrolling 4 -5 pages to get the point.

Break down.

djworkforce.com went up this week it just makes it easier to give out an address other than the tumblr address. To define what i do as a “DJ” is to press buttons thats about it. Im not a rocket scientist and wouldn’t like to be seen as doing somthing others couldn’t with an ipod. in the same way as you can get a slr camera for christmas and become a photographer by pressing a button and having a flickr account. Give the rite person an ipod and they can make a room move by simple song selection incorporating any sort of medium to manipulate the music just connects the dots and helps smooth the line. Granted i have a jaded view of djing & “THE ARTS” but i think you need to come to the end of yourself and realize your not the first one with that idea, but if it makes you happy doing it, not the fact that your the first one to do it or he acceptance or affect you receive. Thats where true talent and somthing special lives. Its the person that dose what they do because they love it. not looking up to see who is watching or what approval they have from doing so.

Thats all i wanna say about that….

I dont like lengthy posts so im gonna post some video and pictures to catch up.

 @ Starlight Ballroom in Philadelphia on Sat, July 24, 2010 taken from my iphone. what an awesome show.  i was able to hold my new iphone 4 stable despite the crowd pushing and “mosh”. this is history in my book. if you dont know about cap N Jazz you should…INFO…..

I have been heading down to a place called the bikechurch lately to volunteer.

what we do there is fix bikes donated by the public and fix them up to be sold at an affordable price to the people in the area of asbury. When im down there i always seem to have my haircutting tools on me so i always end up giving haircuts to the people that work there and what not . i was in the middle of cutting in some layers and an aggressive drunk/hi fellow came to give my client a lapdance  luckly i was videotapeing the haircut. then i gave him a haircut. haha . you need to see this.. 

yesterday i went cliff jumping with a few friends and we collected some salamanders on the walk.

on the way home we stopped at a field of sunflowers. 

i have been starting to realize a few things about myself.

• im a creature of habit
• i am what i do (or dont do) 
• i cant lose myself trying to please others.
• i am worth more than i know in gods eyes.

All in all life is sometimes difficult but the good things are worth fighting for or waiting for.
